Design and Functionality

While the Huion GT-191 testing, I noticed an awakening from sleep mode slowness. The picture of the main menu has appeared on the screen only after a few attempts of pushing the relevant button. In Huion GT-220 such a problem is absent. As I had an opportunity to check both drawing tablets, I decided to compare the Huion GT-220 vs GT-191 weights. The first model is harder to hold (14.6 pounds) and the second one was much lighter (13.05 pounds). Both devices has 5 buttons, but the GT-191’s demonstrates to me a low response and periodically sticking. I haven’t noticed something like this while testing the GT-220.

The GT-191 has small IPS LCD widescreen (19.5 inches), while the GT-220 can boast of a bigger one (21.5 inches). The inscriptions above the second model buttons are bright enough to read them easily and the Huion GT-191 can’t present such design peculiarity.

Stylus

While stylus comparing it was hard for me to give preference to Huion GT-191 or Huion GT-220. Workability in high-temperature climate is a significant factor. The Huion GT-191 vs GT-220 stylus comparison has showed me that the second one has a more hardy mechanism and is able to perform its task even in indecent conditions (the temperature in a room was 34 degrees Celsius). The GT-191 starts to freeze and nervous me.

Huion GT-191 Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • I didn’t have to calibrate the colors on the tablet. All of them were perfect by default.
  • The sensitivity is great because all the details are drawn without additional pressure.

Cons:

  • The adaptor appears to be very unreliable. It becomes malfunctioned near the end of the testing period.
  • Some software requires to run the driver software manually as an Administrator.

Huion KAMVAS GT-220 Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • The driver installation, calibration, and pen button setup are very easy.
  • The rubber feet are massive. The tablet doesn’t slide around.
  • Screen protector doesn’t become the obstruction of the work process.

Cons:

  • The device became overheated after 6 working hours. I had to suspend the drawing process.
  • To avoid the driver’s conflict, I had to delete Wacom drivers. The manual doesn’t include information about it and I had to find it out on my own.
