Huion H420 vs XP-Pen OSU G430 review

Huion H420 vs XP-Pen OSU G430: classic or modern technologies?

Huion H420 vs XP-Pen OSU G430

The Huion H420 vs XP-Pen OSU G430 comparison demonstrates to me the great difference in resolutions. The first one has 4000 lpi, and the second one – 5080 lpi. Moreover, Chinese product (Huion H420) presents to me a multitouch function, while the Japanese device (XP-Pen OSU G430) isn’t able to handle multiple touches and reproduce the desirable picture on the screen.

Design and Functionality

I start to compare the XP-Pen OSU G430 vs Huion H420 and understand that the Chinese manufacturers supplement the unit with 3 buttons, which can close or save the current page. Japanese makers added on the front side just a charging indicator, without attached buttons. The Huion’s corps is performed only in a black color, while XP-Pen is presented to the market in multicolor variations (black and white).

I am shocked to see the USB-ports absence in OSU G430. The H420 has 1, and it is very comfortable to connect the device to the PC and perform the installation process. I also pay attention to one important thing: it is much easier to use the working surface of OSU G430. The H420’s screen is a little bit slow down.

Stylus

Both devices have very stylish styluses, but Huion H420 has an additional rubber inserting for drawing comfort. The XP-Pen OSU G430 doesn’t have such a feature so the process of using seems to be inconvenient. The Huion’s pen has only one AAA battery, while the G430’s pen doesn’t require a battery at all. This is a very useful peculiarity that eliminates the need to take care of periodic charging.

Huion H420 Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Tapping, holding, and dragging work well.
  • The cursor offsetting is moderately sensitive.
  • The strokes are smooth and it is easy to draw gorgeous curves.

Cons:

  • The drivers have no proper update feature, so I have to do it independently.
  • I can’t choose different tablet areas for various tasks.

XP-Pen OSU G430 Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • A Plug and Play technology works greatly.
  • Small size (4.21 x 6.46 x 0.08 inches) is very portable because the device easily fits in a suitcase.
  • The driver’s installation is quick and simple.

Cons:

  • Poor build quality is manifested after the first falling. There appeared some scratch marks on the screen.
  • The cursor shaking makes the drawing process very uncomfortable.
