XP-Pen Artist22 vs Huion H610 Pro — Picking Your First Professional Graphics Tablet
The two options for sensitive professional digital drawing present the alternatives in price, size, technology, and design - Huion H610 Pro vs XP-Pen Artist22. They have the same pressure sensitivity level; yet, Huion H610 Pro register well even at the medium level. Meanwhile, the XP Pen Artist22 requires more pressure, but fiddling with settings might help with it. Resolution of XP Pen Artist22 is higher, while both devices provide for the perfect HD quality.
Design and Functionality
Both tablets have handy buttons for performing additional functions. Huion H610 Pro also has the immediate Express keys for quick switching to the mouse mode. XP Pen Artist22 has a perfect parallax with its built-in screen, providing for the direct drawing. To compare, Huion H610 Pro works through the monitor, while its surface-pen interaction is very responsive and touchy, similar to the natural drawing on paper.
The plastic of XP Pen Artist22 feels cheap for the price versus Huion H610, which is rather sturdy.
Stylus
The XP Pen Artist22 stylus has a cone-like nib form, while Huion H610 Pro features a bulky stylus ending. Charging the pens takes time on both devices, while XP Pen Artist22 present an additional pen to use. Both pens have assistance buttons, but I would prefer to have an eraser one on Huion H610 Pro as well.
XP-Pen Artist22 Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Natural colors and perfect contrast even at an angle view.
- Many adjustable settings (I customized them for Photoshop editing and Mischief drawing).
- A lot of connectors of different type for plugging in other devices (like a mouse, an additional monitor, etc).
Cons:
- Not all functions and settings are accessible in Windows 10.
- The stand does not allow tailor-cut positioning of the tablet.
- Rather heavy for carrying along.
Huion H610 Pro Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Super-responsive pen for accurate strokes and curves.
- Easy and fast setup.
- The buttons are helpful for all the programs I use (Photoshop, Corel, Max Design).
Cons:
- Insufficient software and functions for Windows.
- The default sensitivity settings might be not working well - solved by adjustment.
- The charging connector is rather stiff.
