Design and Functionality

The test Wacom Cintiq 22HD vs XP-Pen Artist22 has demonstrated the Wacom Cintiq 22HD’s widescreen solution with more space on the sides for menus. Its picture is clear and bright, but it has poorer color gamut versus XP-Pen Artist22’s plenty of tones and shades.

Wacom Cintiq 22HD impresses with its durable build on the bezel for moving around whenever you need. It has one port for fast wire connection on the rear panel. It performs properly with pro-software that allows doing animation, 3D modeling, and illustration. The Touch Strips tech provides easy shortcuts and the opportunity to view images from all angles.

XP-Pen Artist22 is a little bit glossy, but a screen protector offsets this shortcoming and reduces reflections.

Both digitizers are compatible with Windows 10, but XP-Pen Artist22 has some driver issues and it works better with Windows 7.

Stylus

Wacom Cintiq 22HD and XP-Pen Artist22 have pressure-sensitive styluses that are convenient due to a rubberized grip. Unlike XP-Pen Artist22’s pen, Wacom Cintiq 22HD’s one is battery-free, that is why it is not heavy and doesn’t tire your hand. Wacom Cintiq has a stand instead a holder to keep the stylus ready to use. It is easy to toggle between the nibs via two buttons on the side. There is an eraser in the rear of the Wacom Cintiq’s stylus, and XP-Pen Artist22 can’t boast it.
