Optoma HD142X vs Optoma HD27

Optoma HD142X vs Optoma HD27 comparison chart: choose, compare, and buy

How often have you bought something that you are not completely satisfied with? When it comes to projector buying you cannot beat all those features choosing Optoma products. Optoma HD27 vs Optoma HD142X are the best choices as for your home theater as for the backyard.

If people knew they could have a 100 inch screen with perfect high definition using a projector for home theater they would never go back to a regular TV.

Optoma HD142X vs Optoma HD27 is an amazing projector for the price! I couldn't decide between HD142X or the Optoma HD27. But after comparing both models they seemed to be same specs, but the HD27 had a few more features. The Optoma HD27 unit has 200 more lumens and 2000:1 higher contrast ratio versus the HD142X.

In comparison to another one the Optoma HD27 has the rainbow effect, I admit that I can see it. It is not a deal breaker but it is there.

I think the Optoma HD27 is quiet and there are a lot of picture settings that you need to play with better optimize the picture. Optoma HD142X vs HD27 are nice, rich color on these projectors and handy test grids to use when you're setting up the zoom and focus.

There is the difference, Optoma HD142X is easier to install and adjust than Optoma HD27, but whatever of these two units you get, you just receive the desirable quality of picture with no drawbacks.

  • It has a very narrow zoom range.

Optoma HD27 pros & cons

Pros of Optoma HD27:
  • At 3200 lumens, the picture is incredibly bright even with all of the lights on & the window blinds open on a sunny day!
  • The cables are concealed, both the power and the HDMI (35 footers).
Cons of Optoma HD27:
  • DLP chip has a white section, which means whites can be much brighter than colored portions.
  • The physical HDMI inputs are not very tight which causes lost signal if not positioned just right.
