Epson Home Cinema 2150 vs Optoma HD143X

Epson Home Cinema 2150 projector with an ideal brightness

Epson Home Cinema 2150Epson Home Cinema 2150 is a 3LCD projector with 2.500 lumens perfect for the diversity of lighting modes. Although the device is pretty heavy (7.7 pounds), it’s still portable because allows wireless connectivity. The projector lets enjoy any entertainment in widescreen Full HD 1080p format with an outstanding 60 000 dynamic contrast ratio that helps achieve the richest and the most detailed picture even in the darkest scenes. The only thing that bothered me is the fan noise.

Epson Home Cinema 2150 PROS:
  • With the help of Miracast technology, I managed to mirror various photos, videos, and apps. It’s especially simple with wireless connection support.
  • The device secures Full 10 bits processing of colors, which guarantees both colorful and white brightness for the premium quality of the images.
Epson Home Cinema 2150 CONS:
  • The projector is equipped with 200W lamp type, which is not bad, but versus Optoma HD143X 240W lamp it’s less powerful. The Epson’s lamp life in eco mode is shorter compared with Optoma.

Optoma HD143X Projector presents bright protection

Optoma HD143XOptoma HD143X is another excellent 3D DLP Home Theater Projector. The device provides bright projection tech and, along with 1080p resolution support, delivers an incredibly accurate quality of video content ideal for movies, games, sports, and other entertainment. Combining Reference Mode and RGB, the projector delivers bright, sharp, and crisp colors, which perfectly match the REC.709 and REC.709b color space. During the comparison, I noticed a kind of stirring around the displayed image area. I tried to change some settings but didn’t manage to fix it. This is disturbing, especially when your project is on a screen.

Optoma HD143X PROS:
  • The projector is light and compact.
  • The device pleased me with its powerful lamp. The lamp now has an impressively extended life up to 12 000 hours.
Optoma HD143X CONS:
  • The lack of wireless connection possibility doesn’t allow taking the projector wherever you want (unless there’s a socket or extension close to you ).

Epson Home Cinema 2150 vs Optoma HD143X: still hard to choose?

The projectors are actually well-featured. When I compare Optoma HD143X vs Epson Home Cinema 2150 I can say I’m satisfied with both. Notice that Optoma HD143X has a limited zoom, meanwhile, Epson allows good zooming. Nevertheless, Optoma can turn any room into a big-screen home theater, displaying saturated sharp colors, making entertainment as much pleasant as possible. Epson Home Cinema 2150, from its part, offers picture enhancement for the smoothest and the most accurate images. Its MHL-enabled gadgets support enables HD TV, films, videos, and gaming. Although Epson has more limited keystone compared with Optoma, which makes it tough to mount and align.
