Huion WH1409: Wireless Tablet with Wide Adjusting Possibilities and Features

Huion Giano WH1409

The Huion WH1409 is an improved model of the 1060 Plus but with some peculiarities and differences. Firstly, the developers have deprived the working surface of 12 express keys. Such changes led to an increase in the working area. Secondly, connection to a PC is possible not only via USB but also via Wi-Fi. The Huion Giano WH1409 review allows finding out that the included 2000 mAh battery can work for about 25 hours and it takes 5-7 hours for full charging.

Setup

There’s a built-in 8 Gb storage, on which every Huion WH1409 driver necessary for performance are preinstalled. First of all, you need to set the knob sensitivity, adjust the values of the two buttons, and select the corresponding monitor. You can choose the following options after clicking on the Advanced Settings icon:

  • The performance of all 12 mechanical keys of the tablet (the command is selected in the lower right corner of the working window).
  • The size of the working area (in case the standard one is too big for your personal needs).
  • Disable express buttons as needed.
  • Reconfigure left-handed mode.
  • Activate or deactivate soft keys, etc.

Features

The large working surface of the Huion tablet WH1409 makes it easy to perform both sweeping brush strokes and detailed drawing of various elements with a minimum amount of scaling. The unit comes with the stylus, which can work for 800 hours on a single charge. The pen stand is compact; it contains 8 pen nibs and 1 removal ring that are interchangeable. The tablet does not always respond to pressing the stylus in principle and also does not always respond adequately. A line can be drawn above or below the tip of the pointer, depending on the pen tilt. The performance will be affected by the distance and direct visibility of the USB transmitter. The trouble-free operation is possible at a distance of up to 393 inches.

Design

The Huion WH1409 tablet has a big touchpad for drawing (13.8 x 8.6), which is much larger than a standard A4 sheet. You can use a glove that comes with the unit (it’s equally suitable for both left-handed and right-handed people) for the hand to glide confidently and freely on the surface. There is a row of 12 customizable keys (3 blocks of 4 each) on the left side, above which you can see indicators of charge, and Wi-Fi adapter. Here is also located an On/Off switch and a corporate logo. You can see a set of 4 rubberized feet and a hidden slot for a USB adapter on the back. If the battery runs out, but there is still a lot of work, a micro-USB port for charging is located above the power switch.

Conclusion

The Huion WH1409 review makes it clear to see that unit is a good choice for those who prefer the functions diversity, decent working area, adjusting possibilities, and wireless communication.
