In this Parblo A610 review, I am going to check everything necessary to make sure that this model is convenient for digital artist. The great thing about this tablet is its price – it will cost you less than $100, which makes it great for people who are just starting.

Setup

The Parblo A610 requires drivers installation. This model is compatible with different Windows versions – XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 10, and Mac OS X, 10.11, or above. However, you can have some issues when you install the Parblo a610 driver for Windows. They may cause the system to freeze. Moreover, sometimes, the driver may crash (it depends on the OS version).

Unfortunately, it doesn’t support Linux. There are no problems with installing drivers on Mac, but it does not have any pressure sensitivity in Illustrator.

Features

The Parblo A610 specs prove it to be a model for beginners or mid-level artists. It has 2048 pressure levels and I can confirm that it registers pressure changing perfectly. The tablet resolution is 5080 LPI, which is good for a 10 x 6 inches drawing area.

The report rate speed (RPS) is 230, which should be enough for a beginner or even a mid-skilled artist. This rate allows excluding any movement lag, so it feels close to drawing with a pencil.

Unfortunately, this model doesn’t support the tilt feature.

The stylus has two buttons. The nib can be replaced. Moreover, this model comes with 8 extra pen nibs and a tool to remove the nib from the stylus. The process of replacing the nib isn’t challenging and is quite fast. However, the nibs are quite durable and you won’t replace them too often.

Design

This graphics tablet is quite thin, but the drawing area is large – the product dimensions are 12.8 x 8.5 x 1.4 inches. The stylus feels very comfortable and natural. It has a rubber grip, so it doesn’t slide even if your hands become sweaty. However, the downside of this rubber cover is that it attracts dust, which is hard to remove. It isn’t heavy although it has a battery installed. You can easily control it and use it for hours without any fatigue.

The tablet has a section with the 8 glossy buttons and a glossy panel. The drawing surface is matte with a nice texture – the pen nib glides freely and it doesn’t let you do any unintentional slips.

It comes with a stylus holder where pen nibs are stored. Besides, this model comes with such additional accessories as a special glove and a suitable carrying case.

This model is quite light – the weight is only 2.95 pounds, but it doesn’t slide on the table.

Conclusion

I can recommend this model whether you are a beginner or a mid-skilled artist, and the Parblo A610 specs prove it (high RPS and pressure level). Unfortunately, this model has some driver issues and pressure sensitivity doesn’t work in some applications.
