Read MoreI got Epson Home Cinema 660 and Epson VS250 on review and I would like to talk about these projectors and help in choosing. Epson 660 is a good portable projector that doesn’t take up much space in your room. It has a brightness of 3300 lumens and contrast 15000:1. Native resolution of the projector is 800X600. It is ideal for watching movies.
I used Epson Home Cinema in my living room. After installation, I had good image on the wall. Unfortunately, I did not have sound system and I used projectors built-in speakers. The speakers appear to be quiet in the large room. During the test Epson 660 vs VS250, I installed the projector at various angles and in any position, the image kept excellent clarity. Screen resolutions are enough for comfortable watching movies and even gaming. The speakers seem quiet in the large room.
Return to comparison Epson Home Cinema 660 vs Epson VS250 I would like to talk about the Epson VS250.
When I got it into the my review of Epson VS250 vs 660, I understood that this projector exactly what is needed to create a small home cinema. Epson VS250 supports HDMI and I can connect it with the latest devices such as my PC or Macbook. Projector has 3200 lumens of brightness and contrast 15000:1 with native resolution 800X600. As for me, it is enough for comfortable watching movies or gaming. But bad built in speakers do not let me enjoy the sound of the film.
Now I can go back to the comparison of Epson Home Cinema 660 and Epson VS250. These projectors are similar models and they have the similar main features and an identical software. However, Epson 660 in compare with VS250, has higher brightness that can play an important role in outdoor watching movies, but such a compact projector does not have zoom capability.

In the same time Epson VS250 has a worse built-in speaker, but it has 2 USB ports that are not in the Epson Home Cinema 660.
The choice is not so complicated. If I wanted a good projector in a minimalistic design with great image and good sound, I will choose Epson Home Cinema 660. Besides, if I needed a portable projector to which I could connect a USB HDD or USB storage and watch a movie at any time, I will choose Epson VS250.
