Setting up this multifunctional large graphics took me 10 minutes - getting the drivers from the website and tuning the tablet to my personal preference. And all that just upon the new upgrade of Windows 10 that was installed on my laptop! The most noticeable upgrade in this tablet in comparison to the older versions of Wacom graphics tablets is the Multi-touch. I have to zoom in and out photos with my fingers. This saves time and is handy for working out a mass of photos or pictures. The more developed programmable buttons made my day when I switched to my favorite Manga painting apps. After assigning each of 8 buttons with specific functions (like eraser, finger tool, etc.) I did not have a chance to confuse any since the tablet provides a popping out functionality map each time I hover the fingers lightly on the keys. Another great feature is a paper-like soft ribbed surface, which feels very natural and leaves no smudges upon drawing. However, I had to reinstall the drivers more than twice within two weeks of use, which is frustrating, especially since I was in the middle of one of my projects in 3D design.

Going with the Huion 1060 Plus, I enjoyed the immediate screen-to-pen response due to higher read speed (233 versus 200 of the Wacom Intuos5). However, making the comparison chart of the two, I noticed that Wacom Intuos5 has more functions and is performed of the softer materials, which makes up for the better durability of the tablet.

The minuses must be considered while selecting Huion 1060 Plus or Wacom Intuos5. The former’s USB cable seems quite feeble and might fail quickly due to several plug-unplug actions caused by the poor connectivity. With Wacom Intuos5, it is the rigidity of the cable that makes it inconvenient to use.
