Wacom One vs Wacom Cintiq 16 — 13” FHD vs 15.6’’ Screen Size

Wacom One vs Wacom Cintiq 16

Wacom One review

The Wacom One is a 4.5 pounds budget drawing tablet for Windows users searching for an affordable tablet. The tablet has a helpful plastic case with solid, un-adjustable legs that lie flat when not used. Looking at the stylus in the Wacom One vs Wacom Cintiq 16, you see that the Wacom One has a basic pen for beginners and offers 4096 pressure levels of sensitivity, giving you precise drawing.

The tablet's 1920 x 1080 screen quality is superb, particularly when using Windows. But the tablet's display isn't sufficiently bright, which is an issue in a well-lit room, yet it can only handle 72% of NTSC color gamut coverage. Besides, the screen does not support finger touch, so you must switch to the move tool to push the canvas around while designing.

PROS:
  • It works with Windows, Mac, and Android devices.
  • The cost of the tablet is low.
  • The tablet is lightweight and easy to carry around.
CONS:
  • Part of the T&C required that you give the application permission to log all keystrokes for all applications.
  • The tablet has no buttons.
  • Because the tablet lacks Bluetooth connectivity, it must be connected using a USB cable.

Wacom Cintiq 16 review

In our Wacom One vs Wacom Cintiq 16 comparison, you see that the Wacom Cintiq 16 is a 4.2 pounds high-quality drawing graphic tablet designed for graphics enthusiasts or students searching for an affordable display tablet. Moreover, the tablet has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and offers a 72% color gamut similar to Wacome One.

The drawing tablet comes with the new Wacom Pro Pen, which offers 8,192 pressure levels of sensitivity and can use the more recent Pro Pen 3D, which offers minimal parallax. The Wacom Cintiq 16 features a 15.6-inch liquid crystal display, a thin film transistor (TFT), and an anti-glare textured overlay.

On the rear of the Wacom Cintiq 16, you will find flip legs that allow you to position the tablet at a 19-degree angle. Also, the tablet sports a 3-in-1 cord attached to the top of the device and splits into USB-A, power lead, and HDMI. So, if you have a laptop with USB-C, you’ll need to buy an adapter to connect to the HDMI.

The power button is positioned on the top right corner of the tablet’s screen to minimize accidental button presses. The tablet has no control button, so you have to control the contrast, color, and brightness from the Wacom Desktop Center. And, another important point in our Wacom One vs Cintiq 16 comparison is that the first model doesn’t support touch (with the fingers), which is an issue for creatives who need to zoom in and out on the tablet.

PROS:
  • The heavyweight, solid stand attached to the back of the tablet is fantastic and very easy to adjust.
  • The 60Hz refresh makes for rapid pen strokes with no noticeable lag.
  • The tablet’s stand is well-designed and can be adjusted for different elevation levels.
CONS:
  • No touch input (finger) except with the stylus pen.
  • The tablet has a low color gamut and resolution for an artist’s tablet.
  • No USB ports on the sides for thumb drives.

Wacom One vs Cintiq: Conclusion

Before you pick between the Wacom One or Cintiq 16, you need to closely examine their features. The biggest downside of the Wacom One is that it lacks express shortcut keys, which means you cannot zoom in and out of an image without breaking your creative stride. On the other hand, the Wacom Cintiq 16 is a great tablet with a sensitive pen and doesn’t intend to break the bank. The Wacom One versus the Wacom Cintiq 16 tablets have similar resolutions, but the Wacom Cintiq 16 has a larger screen and a stylus with high pressure level.
