The Wacom Cintiq 22HD specs are primarily designed to meet the needs of professional photographers, designers, and other creative artists. Featuring a 21-inch full HD screen, it allows sketching, painting, and editing with increased convenience.
Setup
The Cintiq 22HD can be connected to Mac or PC via provided DVI, power, and USB cables.
Before you proceed to the installation, make sure that both PC/Mac and tablet are turned off. Plug the DVI cable directly into the DVI port or into the digital video adapter. Then, plug the USB cable into your PC or Mac. Plug the power cable to the power supply and then to the electrical outlet. Make sure that the light on the power brick is on.
Turn the tablet on (the LED indicator will glow with orange) using the power button on the top of the display and then turn your computer on. Then, insert the installation disc. After this, all you have to do is just confirm the Wacom’s agreement, wait until the installation of Wacom Cintiq 22HD driver is completed, reboot your Mac/PC and the tablet is ready.
Features
The tablet goes with a battery-free pen. It has rubberized a grip, but its base is made of plastic. The opposite tip works as an eraser. As for me, the pen feels a little bit heavy.

The pen has 2048 pressure sensitivity which means that it’s capable of recreating the stroke of almost any art tool. The Wacom Cintiq 22HD touch pen display offers an extra wide viewing angle. The H-IPS LCD panel screen has a 1920 x 1080 resolution and is able to display up to 16.7 million colors. The screen also features an LED backlight. The screen’s viewable area measures into 18.55 x 10.55 inches.
The tablet goes equipped with 3 optional buttons located on the tablet’s top right corner. The “i” button shows what every other button on the bezel does; the setting button brings up the tablet’s properties (screen calibration, buttons assignment, etc.); the menu button allows adjusting brightness, contrast, RGB, etc.
The tablet also has the sliders for convenient work with large projects: they allow moving up and down within your canvas and rotate between files.
Design
The tablet is 25.5 inches wide and 15.7 inches in height. It goes in a black matte finish. The screen is semi-gloss and blocks a large amount of light reflection.
The Cintiq 22HD comes with an easily-adjustable (can be adjusted up to 180° right/left, and inclined to 65°) stand which allows working in numerous comfortable positions. The tablet weighs 18.7 pounds together with the stand.
There are 8 adjustable buttons on each side of the screen. All of the 16 buttons can be adjusted for any functions. Such design provides convenient work for both right-handed and left-handed users.
There are two LED lights on the tablet’s front panel: the first one is a power indicator, and the second one informs when the pen has made contact with the tablet’s surface.
