Wacom Cintiq 22HD vs Huion GT-220: famous brand or newcomer?
I need to compare the Huion KAMVAS GT-220 vs Wacom Cintiq 22HD to find out the difference between active areas. The Chinese product (KAMVAS GT-220) has 18.77 x 10.55 inches and the Japanese unit (Cintiq 22HD) surprises me with the much bigger area – 19.5 x 11.5 inches. The first one model doesn’t support a multi-touch feature, unlike the second one.
Design and Functionality

Pros:
- The unit has really good speakers. Of course, the sound is not of a high quality, but it’s enough for most basic tasks.
- The pressure range of 8k is really good. It gives me a solid range of control among the drawing processes.
- Thanks to the high-pressure sensitivity (2.048 levels), the pen helps create natural, subtle artistic elements.
Cons:
- The monitor on the bottom left side is sticking out.
- The driver installation is a real headache. I succeeded with it after the third attempt.
Wacom Cintiq 22HD Pros & Cons
Pros:
- There are no pixel flaws on the screen.
- The sturdy build has an additional bezel for moving around.
- It works well with most professional programs.
Cons:
- I understand that such a set of function can’t be placed in a small and lightweight box, but it is hard to work with so heavy device (18.7 pounds).
- All the buttons take too much area on a unit.
