This Crenova XPE460 LED projector is a budget mini projector. It has 1200 lumens of brightness which is a pretty decent number for such a small device and can project on any white smooth surface. It uses an LED lamp which has a better color quality than the traditional ones and an extended life of up to 30000 hours.
This projector is actually a pretty simple device to set up thanks to its minimalistic design. Besides, its package includes everything you need to get started: 3-in long HDMI cable and an RCA AV adapter.
Сonnect the projector to a power outlet and position it at least about 10 feet from the screen or wall, and then hook up any device to the projector. You can use VGA or HDMI connection to hook up the projector to PC or laptop, or you can use the RCA connection to connect it to a DVD player. You can also insert an SD card or a USB drive into the projector to playback videos and photos.
If you buy a wireless HDMI adapter, you will also be able to wirelessly connect this projector to your tablet or smartphone.
Once the projector is connected, turn it on using the remote control or Power button on the top panel. The LED light turns green when the projector is ready to work.
Despite the fact that the Crenova XPE460 LED video projector has 800 x 480 pixels of native resolution, it shows a pretty sharp picture. It can produce the image from 37 to 130 inches but shows its best quality at the range from 50 to 100 inches. It also features a short-throw ability (from 4 to 12 feet). This means that you don’t have to go too far from the projection screen, so the unit can work in most rooms.
Note that this projector is designed to work in low light conditions. However, to ensure the best image quality, you have to make sure that the room is as dark as possible. Thanks to 16,700 Full Color technology, the image in the dark environment is very clear and bright.
The Crenova XPE460 specs also include a keystone correction ability which allows placing the projected image perfectly in the center of a screen. The projector allows adjusting the optics by 12°.
The unit goes with small remote control. However, it comes without batteries, so you have to buy AAA batteries beforehand.
The first thing that came to my mind when I took the Crenova XPE460 out of the box is that it provides a 90s vibe since it has a classic square shape. The unit goes in a glossy plastic body and available in white and black colors. It has only 12.4 x 4.2 x 7.5 inches of size dimensions and weighs only 2.82 pounds.
There are few connectors on the projector’s rear side: HDMI, VGA, SD, and USB. You will find several control buttons on its top panel.
This Crenova XPE460 review demonstrates that this projector is a good choice for those who need a portable and cheap movie projector. This model can display content from 1080p devices (Blu-ray, HDTV, etc.) in native resolution. Despite the fact that it’s not an HD projector, it’s still suitable for outdoor movie nights since it shows its best results in the darkest conditions.
